We’re still far from fully embracing Snapchat, but there are some very interesting ways we can take an emoji photo and make it available on Instagram, which is why we’re excited to see how Instagram uses these photos to deliver a little bit of content in the app.
First up, Instagram uses emoji photos to make emoji cards, which allow users to upload pictures and videos.
You can download them in the App Store and use them in your app.
To get started, you’ll need to install Instagram on your device, as the Instagram API does not require a Google account.
Open Instagram and tap on the menu icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Tap the gear icon in front of your app name.
Tap Settings and tap the Instagram icon in top-right corner.
Then tap the Edit icon next to the emoji card.
In the Settings app, scroll down to the Instagram Cards section and tap Add an emoji card from this app.
Tap Instagram Cards from this device.
The new card will appear in your Instagram feed.
Tap Add to add the photo to your Instagram card.
Select a photo from the photo gallery and hit the Add button.
Follow the instructions to complete the upload process.
